‘Hollywood Ending’ Giveaway!

Trina Stewart needs cash. Fast. She’s barely got enough dough to keep her fanny off the streets, let alone any spending money for hot nights clubbing on Sunset Strip. And her job teaching English as a Second Language is seriously lacking in both pay and glamour. But not just any job will do. She’s after a real Hollywood job. The kind that makes her $100,000 in film school debt and ten years in Tinsel Town not seem like such a big fat wast of time and money. But a girl can’t fritter away all her time fretting over her next paycheck, can she? Certainly not when a man like Matiu Wulf, a sexy Maori from New Zealand, parks his on-so-fine self in the apartment above hers while he takes his best shot at Showbiz.

If only Matiu didn’t seem so… repelled by Trina. Really, though, it’s Los Angeles that Matiu finds so revolting. He’s only in L.A. to get some scene design experience to beef up his resume, and then he’s headed back to new Zealand to follow his dreams in peace, thank you very much. That’s his plan, anyway, until he falls hard for Trina… and Trina falls under the spell of a toothy-grinned wannabe actor who charms the pants right off her.

With Matiu on a mission to win Trina’s heart, and Trina on a mission to nail down that ever elusive Hollywood job, these two soon discover that when love gets tossed into the mix, life in Tinsel Town isn’t all red carpets, after parties, and celebrity gossip. In fact, Hollywood can be a downright bitch!

  1. I actually gave this serious thought! I think I’m going to choose “When Harry Met Sally”. In a way it’s hard because it takes them so long to figure out they’re meant for each other but they’re able to grow and find themselves together but not romantically intwined. I’ll probably think of a “better” answer later, but that’s my answer for now! 🙂

  2. There are so many Hollywood endings that I like… I love “You’ve Got Mail” ending when Kathleen Kelly sees Joe Fox in the park and realizes that he is the ONE: the very ONE she wanted him to be. It makes me all happy and teary-eyed, even though I know the movie and the ending by heart.

  3. Favorite Hollywood ending…..the ending in Pretty Woman when Richard Gere arrives at her apartment in his limo, pulls down the fire exit stairs, and climbs them to her window, where they kiss!! Awwwww…….now I wanna watch the movie again 🙂

  4. Great review! How about Grease…You’re the One that I want..ooh ooh ooh….loved that scene at the end of the school year carnival and Sandy got all biker chick hot and Danny changed for her….such a classic! Thanks for the giveaway.

  5. This is not a typical Hollywood movie, or romantic, (it’s actually Italian), but I loved the ending of Mid-August Lunch. An older gentleman takes care of his elderly mother and owes back condo fees. His landlord says he’ll pay his fees if he takes care of his mother too, while he goes on vacation. Well, let’s just say, more than 2 old ladies end up at his house and lots of craziness ensues, but the ending is just too cute.

  6. My favorite Hollywood endings was in the movie The Proposal where the couple actually got engaged for real instead of faking it so Sandra Bullock’s character couldn’t get deported. I was like ‘Aw ‘ because he really did love her.

  7. Pretty Woman when Richard Gere drives up to Julia’s apartment in his limo, pulls down the fire escape, and climbs up to her window even though he is scared of heights and then he kisses her !!

  8. The ending of The American President – when Andrew and Sydney (Michael Douglas and Annette Bening) end up getting back together. Not only is the acting great, the writing (thank you, Aaron Sorkin) sparkles.

  9. 16 Candles when Samantha (Molly Rigwald) is leaving the church after her sister’s wedding and her crush Jake Ryan is waiting for her. He takes her away in his sports car and has a birthday cake waiting for her and kisses her!
We all wished our 16th Birthday would be so wonderful!

  10. There are so many wonderful Hollywood endings… too many to choose just one as my favourite! For the sake of this post and the contest, I’ll say Never Been Kissed – with the clock countdown in the baseball field, with Mr. Coulson being late and running onto the baseball diamond and the crowd cheering… so great!
